  • May 4-6, 8:00 p.m., Fall of the Third Reich, Germany 2005, Directed by Oliver Hieschibiege, War film, Admittance: 12 years and over, Czech sub-titles, 148 minutes. The film based on the book "Bis zur letzten Stunde" by Traudl Jung, personal secretary of Adolph Hitler, gives an account of the days just before the mass suicides in Hitler's bunker in Berlin. Hitler is portrayed by Bruno Ganz, however, not as the embodiment of evil, but as a charismatic leader. The film was nominated for the OSCAR Academy Award in the Best Foreign Film Category.
  • May 7-8, 8:00 p.m., The Tin Drum, Germany, France, Poland, Yugoslavia - 1979, Directed by Volker Schlöndorff, 142 minutes. Mario Adorf, Angela Winkler and Daniel Olbrychski in the film version of the novel by Günter Grass. The main character, a boy who rejects the world of adults and protests against it by refusing to grow up, is rendered by 12-year-old David Bennet. It received the Oscar Academy Award for Best Foreign Film and the Golden Palm Award (Cannes).
