As part of this year’s Liberation Festival program, one of the founders of the Brian LaViolette Scholarship Foundation, Doug LaViolette, announced the creation of the General George S. Patton Scholarship of Honor for a graduate of a high school in Pilsen. The foundation was created in 1992 in memory of fifteen-year-old Brian LaViolette, who died in a swimming accident.
