Commemoration ceremonies to honor the memory of those who perished in World War II took place in Pilsen on May 5 at the Monument to the Victims of the World War I and World War II at Náměstí Míru, at the US Army 2nd Infantry Division memorial on Chodské Square, and at the US Army 16th Armored Division memorial on Husova Street.
