The Patton Memorial Pilsen Museum will add several events to expand its year-round exhibition commemorating the historical events of 1945 in western Bohemia. The first event will be the outdoor “CAMP 1945,” a period display of a US Army control post set up by Pilsen-based fans from the 2nd Rangers Brigade.
A new feature at this year’s celebrations will be the airsoft shooting range located near the Peklo Cultural Centre. Designated mainly for children and teenagers, airsoft is a modern military sport similar to paintball - but instead of paintball ammunition, small plastic pellets are used. This part of the city will also feature a rich cultural program that has been organized for the entire first weekend of May.
