Once again Pilsen reveled in celebrations of the US Army’s liberation of the city, which this year were held from May 3 through 6. On these days, Pilsen symbolically – and in many sites literally – went back in time to the end of World War II. Authentic military camps in the city center, a Sunday parade of historical military vehicles on Klatovská Boulevard, emotional meetings with war veterans and a vibrant cultural program were again the main attractions. One of this year’s new additions was Army Week, prepared in cooperation with Czech soldiers and the Czech Ministry of Defense.
